Water 101

Water is Life!

Can you believe that your body is made up of 50 to 80% water? Well it is in every cell of your body!

After oxygen, water is the 2nd most vital element needed to survive.

Water is responsible for all parts of human health - from hormone balance and creation to waste removal.

It's responsible for boosting metabolism, lubricating your joints, delivering oxygen and more.

Pollution Risk in Tap Water

Having access to safe, drinkable fresh water is becoming an increasing problem in this world.
Only 2% of the earth's water is fresh water and of that only 1% is drinkable!

Across the world and in the United States, the tap water for communities is becoming contaminated with toxic chemicals above recommended limits. This is silently affecting millions of Americans.

This is from the advent of fracking, incorrect waste disposal, aging lead plumbing infrastructure, manufacturing plants, and a lack of city funding and general public awareness. Thus, our tap water is at increasing risk of being a source of cancer, birth defects, and more.

In an article from The Guardian 'America's Water Crisis' the following was stated: after Consumer Reports and the Guardian conducted a 9 month investigation, it was found that city drinking water across the U.S. had alarming levels of arsenic, lead, 'forever checmicals' called PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances), and other contaminants.

These water samples came from American tap systems that service more than 19 million people!

Connecticut, North Carolina, New York, Florida, and the West Coast.

What are PFAS?

These are the 'forever chemicals' that are used for non-stick cookware, stain resistant materials, and will leach into our water supply from waste disposal, factories, and more. Unfortunately thousands of communities are affected with this chemical in their tap water and it can cause different diseases and learning disabilities.
